Cards re-sign 2nd team all star Grant Arnold

HAMILTON - The Hamilton Cardinals are pleased to bring back IBL 2nd team all-star Grant Arnold for the 2019 season. The Topeka, Kansas resident joined the Cardinals last season after spending a season playing for the Hollywood Stars of the Peco’s league.

In his rookie season Grant hit .348 (49-141) with 3 2b’s, 3 3b’s, 2 Hr’s and 25 Rbi’s along with 4 Sb’s while also playing many different positions.

“His versatility is a great asset for us, since it allows Coach Castelli flexibility to put the best lineup on the field each night”, states GM Jeff Lounsbury. “Grant is also a ball of energy on the field and in the clubhouse, he just loves to play baseball and that enthusiasm is contagious.”

“I couldn’t be happier to be resigning with the Cardinals. I had the time of my life this past season in Canada. From the players, to the coaches, to the ownership I can’t speak highly enough on this organization. I am beyond excited for the direction of this team and the future success we are going to have. I can’t thank my family and God enough for all the support. Spring can’t get here soon enough! Go Cards!” said Arnold.

The Hamilton Cardinals are members of Ontario’s most elite baseball league, The Intercounty Baseball League. The 101 year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, established in 1919.
