Cards blank Red Sox

HAMILTON – Hamilton scored in every inning but the sixth on its way to a 19-0 win Tuesday over Brantford at home.

Laine Renaud went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI, while Tyler Giancos singled and added a solo blast.

Justin Gideon had two hits, an RBI and scored twice, Tyler Duncan went 2-for-4 with an RBI and four runs, Ashton Feijo and Robin Fox-Pappas each drove in a run, Jeremie Veilleux had three hits, four RBI and a run, Luis Jean drove in two on two hits, Josh Niles picked up two hits and two runs and Anthony Buonaiuto drove in three and scored twice. 

Owen MacNeil (1-1) earned the win, going six shutout innings. He scattered three hits, walking two and striking out seven.

Garrett Larner (0-1) took the loss, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits over 2.1 innings. He walked three and struck out one.

Andrew Gorecki had two of Brantford’s five hits. The Red Sox fell to 0-10, while Hamilton improved to 3-6.
