Cardinals stay hot
BRANTFORD – Hamilton stayed hot on Sunday, beating Brantford 10-6 for its fifth straight victory.
Carlos Dominguez and Tanner Rempel each drove in two for the Cardinals (14-12). Brandon Nicoll, Josh Williams, Yolki Pena and Jommer Hernandez all drove in a run.
Tyler Duncan and Niko Kekatos both had two hits and scored twice.
Casey Bouillere-Howard (1-0) tossed a scoreless inning for the win. Cardinals’ starting pitcher Carwin Salcedo allowed three unearned runs on three hits before being lifted with two out in the bottom of the fifth. He walked two and struck out six.
Cassidy Watt led the Red Sox (6-21) with four RBI on two hits. Rene Tachioka went 3-for-5 with an RBI and three runs. Carlos Ortega drove in a run.
Aidan Armitage (1-2) took the loss after yielding six runs (five earned) on eight hits over four innings. He walked four and punched out six.
