Cardinals sign infielder Luke Tevlin
HAMILTON - The Hamilton Cardinals are pleased to announce the return of infielder Luke Tevlin ( Toronto ). Luke played the 2017 season with the Cardinals hitting .364 (8-22) with 3 rbi's in limited action. He sat out all of 2018 recovering from arm surgery. Luke spent 4 season at D.1 Binghamton University and in 2018 while playing hurt hit .297 (30-101) in his senior year.
"Luke is a tremendous talent, he can play all 4 infield positions, he can run, he hits gap to gap and he is great in the locker room. We are really lucky to have him healthy and back with the Cardinals." stated GM Jeff Lounsbury
Upon signing Tevlin said "I'm really excited to be healthy and a part of the squad again. I played with Hamilton a couple summers ago so I'm really looking forward to contributing as a fully healthy player this year".
Luke also volunteers his time and helps coach the Ontario Terriers U-16 team as infield and hitting coach.
The Hamilton Cardinals are members of Ontario's most elite baseball league. The Intercounty Baseball League. The 101 year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, established in 1919.
