Cardinals Dziomba returns for 2019

HAMILTON - The Hamilton Cardinals are pleased to announce the return of slugger Jon Dziomba (Buffalo, NY). Jon returns for his third season with the Cardinals. Last season Jon hit .325 (25-77) with 1 home run, 11 RBI's and 8 stolen bases.

"Jon is a clutch hitter and someone who battles every at bat. I really think you saw Jon at his best in playoffs last year against top pitching when he hit .375 in 6 games with a home run. He is someone that helps the other guys leads by example and plays the game hard" stated Cardinals General Manager Jeff Lounsbury.

After graduating from Mercyhurst, Jon played 9 seasons of independent professional baseball with a career average of .281 (391-1392) in 381 games played.

"I am truly honored and blessed to be joining the City of Hamilton and the organization for another season of Cardinals Baseball. Last season was great ride and I look forward to helping the team to again create success and a winning atmosphere in 2019." said Dziomba

The Hamilton Cardinals are members of Ontario’s most elite baseball league, The Intercounty Baseball League. The 101 year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, established in 1919.
