Burgos outduels Frias to lead Majors

LONDON – London's Migel Burgos outdueled Brantford's Edison Frias to give the Majors a 2-0 win over the Red Sox Friday night at Labatt Park.

Burgos (1-2) went seven scoreless innings, scattering three hits with a walk and seven strikeouts. Jon Fitzsimmons threw two clean innings with a strikeout for his first save.

Frias (0-2) allowed an unearned run on three hits over seven innings. He walked two and struck out five.

Offensively, Ismael Pena and Byron Reichstein each had two hits and an RBI for London (6-9). Carlos Arteaga went 2-for-4 with a run.

For Brantford (1-11), Chris Iltshishin, Nick Zarzycki and Jacob Reed had the only hits, all singles.
