Brownlee, Boon lead Majors past Jackfish

WELLAND -- Cleveland Brownlee homered, and Owen Boon struck out 11 to lead the London Majors to a 4-3 win in Welland Saturday night. 

Brownlee finished with two hits, as did Byron Reichstein, who singled twice and drove in two. Evan Britt added the other RBI. 

Boon (8-1) scattered six hits, allowing two runs over seven innings. Braeden Ferrington picked up his fourth save after giving up a run on one hit with a walk and two strikeouts. 

For Welland, Dane Tofteland went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs and an RBI. Griffin Keller singled and doubled. 

First-place London moved to 21-8, and Welland dropped to 14-15.
