Baycats snap three-game skid

BARRIE – The Barrie Baycats snapped a three-game losing streak with a 10-1 win over Brantford Thursday night at Vintage Throne Stadium.


Adam Odd went 3-for-3 with three RBI and a run to lead the Baycats (17-12). Royce Andro doubled twice, singled and drove in a run while scoring twice. Owen Jansen went 3-for-4 and scored twice, Tyler Plumpton plated a pair of runs and had an RBI and Noel McGarry-Doyle drove in a run.


Adam Khan (3-2) spun five innings of one-run ball for the win. He gave up one hit but walked six while fanning five.

Lucas Bateman drove in the lone Red Sox run in the second inning. He drove in Liam Sutherland, who also had a hit.

Andre Wojtarowicz (0-2) took the loss, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits over two innings. He walked four and struck out three.


Brantford fell to 2-25.
