Baycats' offence too much for Leafs

BARRIE – The Barrie Baycats pounded out 19 hits in a 13-3 win over the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs Friday night.
Ryan Rijo went 4-for-6 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs for Barrie (18-6). Branfy Infante singled twice and drove in three with a run, Glenn Jackson drove in a pair, Starlin Rodriguez had three hits and two runs, Jordan Castaldo went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run, Jon Waltenbury singled twice and scored twice, Jeff Cowan had an RBI and two runs, Carson Burns picked up two hits and scored twice while driving in a run, and Parker Walker tripled and drove in three with a run.
Emilis Guerrero (5-1) scattered six hits over seven shutout innings, striking out three.
Toronto starter Justin Cicatello (3-1) took the loss, giving up 12 runs (six earned) on 13 hits with three walks and four strikeouts over four innings.
Offensively, Justin Marra, Jonathan Solazzo and Damon Topolie drove in the Leafs' runs. Ryan Santos went 3-for-5, and Greg Carrington singled twice and scored.
Toronto fell to 9-17.
