Outfielder Tyler Duncan re-signs with Cardinals

Hamilton - The Hamilton Cardinals announced today the re-signing of outfielder Tyler Duncan for the upcoming 2023 season, his second season with the club.

Duncan, a native of Sooke, BC, is coming off a strong rookie season where he became a staple in the heart of the Cardinals’ lineup while cementing himself as an everyday guy in the outfield.

A former member of the Canadian Junior National Program, Duncan was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 30th round of the 2016 MLB Draft before attending Arkansas State University.

“Dunc brings the type of quiet confidence that is extremely desirable,” said Cardinals General Manager George Halim. “There’s only two 24-year-olds in the IBL who played 50+ games and batted over .300 with 50+ hits and left the yard enough to call themselves hitters with power - we’re pretty fortunate to have one of them.”
