Cardinals Unveil New Branding for 2023 Season

HAMILTON - The Hamilton Cardinals have revealed their new logo, jerseys, and caps coinciding with their 65th anniversary of baseball in Hamilton! The new logo features a strong modernized Cardinal with a bat over its shoulder featuring a “hammer” inspired bat weight. The logo emphasizes a new black and red colour cheme.

“My biggest priority is strengthening the Hamilton Cardinals brand. Our new logo is unique to our IBL club and represents our community” said Eric Spearin, Managing Partner of the Hamilton Cardinals. “We worked with Matt Doyle, a local designer, where he faced a tall task of creating an entire rebrand that would put us in the same conversation as the other sports teams in the city. I think Matt’s design direction was exceptional and he has created an iconic logo that generations of Hamiltonians will support.”

The Cardinals will introduce three new jersey combinations for the 2023 season that will be sponsored by Phenom Elite. At home, the team will wear a white jersey featuring the Cardinals wordmark and new logo. It will be paired with a red cap with the Cardinals logo and white pants. On the road, the team will wear a grey jersey with a Hamilton wordmark, matched with grey pants and a black cap featuring the Cardinals logo. The team will also wear a black alternate jersey for select home and away games, the jersey will feature the words “The Hammer” across the chest with the Cardinal logo. The jersey will be paired with a black cap and either white or grey pants.

“Now that we have a new brand to call our own, we will continue to work to make the community feel even more connected to the team. I think the fans will be excited to see the new look on the field (and in the stands) soon!” Dennis Concordia, Strategic Advisor & Partner.
