Cardinals Sign Former Mets Draft Pick, Will Sierra

HAMILTON - The Hamilton Cardinals are thrilled to announce the signing of right-handed pitcher, Will Sierra for the 2023 season.

Will Sierra is originally from Montreal, Quebec and brings an outstanding pedigree to the Hamilton Cardinals. In 2016, he was drafted by the New York Mets in the 28th round of the MLB draft. He has represented the Canadian Junior National team on several occasions and appeared for Team Canada in the 2017 World Championships. Sierra has spent the past two seasons at Washington State University, appearing in a combined 27 games, two as a starter, putting up an impressive 44 K’s in 33.1 innings.

The 6’1 righty is joining the club with a wealth of high-level experience and is poised to be a major contributor to the Cardinals in 2023. He’s currently a member of the pitching staff.

The Hamilton Cardinals are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League and are preparing for their 65th year as a franchise.
